Writing for me wasn’t something that I set out to do in the beginning. However, whenever I would post on social media it was led by the Holy Spirit. I also feel like if I acquired knowledge it wasn’t just for me alone but to share with others. This was how I started on social media. Sometimes I could just be sat down then I would feel the spirit of God telling me to write about something or He would just drop a nugget of wisdom in me. When I think about the fact that a friend or follower could benefit from my post I would feel more inclined to share it.
During the course of planning, the blog there were a few problems that I wouldn’t let stop me. First of all my laptop became faulty and I didn’t have an alternative. The screen hinge became loose by accident so this meant that whenever I wanted to use it I had to find a rest for the screen which was pretty inconvenient. I knew the repairs would take a few weeks so I just decided to use the laptop the way it was and then repair it after the blog launched. I started planning the blog before the COVID-19 pandemic. As we saw this escalate another problem this created for me was that it affected my plans for a photo shoot. I also had to change the location which wasn’t the original plan. I kept my head up and didn’t let this phase me. I trusted God that it would all work out and I would look back and give thanks
A few other things happened which meant I couldn’t launch the blog at the time that I hoped to. However since then God has expanded me and here we are finally with the blog bigger and better than I had hoped for!
I saw a quote the other day that read “the enemy can’t take you out so he’s trying to wear you out, push through to victory”
Then I thought to myself the devil is so strategic. I asked myself how strategic am I as a Christian? He thinks ahead, sets traps, knows human nature, he’s constantly working to take down. If you aren’t working out your salvation and on your feet being strategic too, doing the opposite of what the devil expects you to do (for example choosing to be joyful when all around is pointing towards sorrow, intentional diligent service to God, truthful worship when all around is pointing towards worry, continuing to persevere etc) How are you going to stand? How are you going to be one step ahead or victorious as you should be, God provides the power & His word so How are you using what He’s provided?
The word says the devil is going about like a roaring lion, we should ask ourselves as Christians am I going about doing the work of God?
No wonder the Bible says “the joy of the Lord is your strength” happiness is not the same as joy and is based on circumstances once this is absent so is happiness. But joy means that regardless of the circumstances your mood is up. And even in situations that aren’t pleasant, you’re always joyful because it flows from the Lord. So when the enemy’s trying to wear you down draw strength from the joy that God has given you. It won’t be easy but it’ll be worth it. Be strategic. Know the word of God so when enemy’s trying to wear you out with fear use the faith that comes from the word of God to starve that fear. God is with you. You’re already victorious through Christ.
Until the next post,
Stay blessed!
